Praised for her "gleaming tone" (Gramophone) and "brilliance of the lyrical passages" (Classicamente), 23-year-old violinist Christina Nam has concertized around the world, appearing in recitals and as a soloist with numerous orchestras. Since her solo debut with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at age 9, she has gone on to perform as soloist and concertmaster with orchestras across the globe, and is equally active as a chamber musician and recitalist.
First Prize winner of the Ysaye International Music Competition in 2026, Nam has received several awards including the Laureate Prize of Young Concert Artists, the Prix Reyl Award at the Verbier Festival Academy in 2025, the Juilliard Peter Mennin Prize for “outstanding achievement and leadership in music, and most recently was awarded the Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant of 2026.

Nam has performed at renowned venues including Severance Hall, Cincinnati Music Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Église de Verbier Station, Victoria Hall, Aula Simfonia Jakarta, Icheon Art Hall, and Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater. She has performed under the baton of numerous distinguished conductors, including Jahja Ling, Anna Handler, Rebecca Tong, Louis Langrée, Cristian Măcelaru, and Antoine Marguier. Nam has appeared with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Orchestre du Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, the Landesjugendorchester, and the Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra, with whom she performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto as soloist before joining as Concertmaster for Shostakovich's 10th Symphony.
A dedicated chamber musician, Nam is a member of the Amara Trio, Gold Medalists of the Chesapeake International Chamber Competition. She has spent summers at leading festivals and institutes, including the Chesapeake Music Festival, Four Seasons Workshop, SPIRITUS Festival, Verbier Festival Academy, Kneisel Hall, and the Perlman Music Program.
Nam is currently pursuing her Artist Diploma at the Juilliard School under Catherine Cho and Donald Weilerstein, having earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees there as well.
